Earthly's Four Week Course:
Building a Just and Ecological Future 🌏
A simple, practical journey to understand and act for a better world.
This course will take you through the interconnected systems shaping our world — from the power structures that drive inequality to the ecological principles that sustain life. By the end, you’ll have a deeper understanding of how human systems are damaging the planet, and how we can create a just and sustainable future. The course is designed to be practical, accessible, and full of real-world action steps that will leave you empowered to make a difference. 🌿✊🏼
Throughout this course, you will learn:
-
Week 1: How power structures shape our world, and how they are connected to ecological destruction. Systems thinking-how social and ecological systems are connected. 🏛️
-
Week 2: Climate change not just as a scientific issue, but as an issue of social justice. What climate justice is-and why it's important. 🌊
-
Week 3: Our food systems impact people and the planet. How industrial agriculture is fuelling biodiversity loss and climate breakdown, and what offers us hope. 🌽
-
Week 4: What an eco-centric society could look like, and how we can organise ourselves in a way that's best for people and the planet. 🏡
👥 Each week we will host an online study group with an Earthly Institute facilitator. We will create a space to discuss the learnings of each topic and build community with like minded individuals.
⏰ Time: 2-4hrs per week with the option to choose from two facilitated sessions to suit your timezone (Wednesday 8:30AM UTC/9:30PM UTC).
🎨 The course will finish with a final creative project, turning what you have learned into creating a blog/article, short video, artwork or infographic, social media campaign or whatever your creative heart desires.
By the end of this course, you will have:
-
Developed a greater understanding of topic concepts of each week.
-
Have met with like minded individuals, who share the same love for people and the natural world, and are eager to help make a difference.
-
